piloting the squadron how often do you have to sit alert or go up there and do that mission we

sit alert on a regular basis right so all the squad and guys are uh i want alert on a regular

basis and these days it's more than it was a couple years ago because now we're getting the

f-thirt fire and from now it's only f-16 time alert definitely talk about kind of your

upbringing your your path into the viper there, talk about the Danish Air Force, F-16s, demos, combat ops, all the above.

Good old single-engine F-16. That brings up a lot of thought, right, when you're flying, at least it did for me in later time in Ops when you're flying a really long way from friendlies right it's a single

engine fiber is delicate it's very you know it's very sensitive to stuff right so and lightweight small

fighter right what is the average day in the squadron look like we do 24 hours kore 8 and if

if you work a lot but also gets a lot of time off because you

work a lot.

It's easier for having a family life and stuff like that.

I know for many of my U.S. colleagues that it's not always an easy balance.

The Air Force that the military just hasn't figured out how to crack that nut.

I guess it's been a thing you, you mean the U. US afts have done that for so many years, right?

People are very good at their work.

But if you burn out after six or seven years, I mean, yeah, it's problematic.

At some point, it's only so much money can do, right?
