And we are still in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.

And as such, we are excited to be bringing you an interview that we're doing remotely.

We are interviewing today, Hannah Camo, and Hannah.

It has a really important story to share with us.

Hannah was raised in Rexburg, Idaho.

And she dealt with a topic or let's just say a disorder that we've covered previously a Mormon Stories podcast, kind of a long time ago.

But we haven't covered it in recent years.

And more importantly, we haven't covered it from the perspective of a female perspective.

So the topic that we're going to be covering today is called Scrupulosity.

Scrupulosity is a fancy word for religious obsessive compulsive disorder.

And it basically involves having intrusive thoughts around righteousness or or worthiness.

And then some sort of compulsive behavior to neutralize the obsessive thoughts.

Scrupulosity is more or most prevalent in highly high demand religious traditions, like conservative Islam, conservative Judaism, conservative Christianity.

And of course, it's no exception. Scrupulosity is very common within Mormonism.

And it's particularly timely as well because recently we interviewed Ryan and Holly Nielsen, who were both raised in B.O.U. Idaho, Rexburg, and Ryan worked as a B.O.U. faculty for over a decade.

And so there's a Scrupulosity, religious OCD theme to today's episode and to the past couple episodes.

But there's also kind of a Rexburg Idaho theme of growing up in Rexburg, Idaho, and going to B.O.U. Idaho.
