Summary

Welcome to the final episode of our joy journey—an invitation to gather everything you've practiced and carry it forward as a living, breathing way of being.

In this longer, closing meditation, you'll be guided to return to your joyful center—breath by breath—until joy feels less like an idea and more like a felt experience in your body. From that steadiness, you'll reflect on what it means to choose joy as a daily practice: not by avoiding life, but by meeting life with a softer nervous system, clearer boundaries, and a kinder inner voice.

This finale is about integration. You'll anchor into the kind of joy you can return to in real moments—before a difficult conversation, in the middle of a busy day, or when the world feels heavy. Be guided as you immerse yourself in the healing balm of nature.

Then, as we close the series, you'll gently expand that joy outward—offering it to the people you love, your community, and the wider world—knowing that what you cultivate within truly matters.

Thank you for being here, for showing up for yourself, and for choosing a more joyful way forward.

This is day 7 of a 7-day meditation series, "Awaken to Joy Celebration Meditations," episodes 1297-1303.

ABOUT THIS WEEK'S MEDITATION JOURNEY:

As the year gently comes to a close, this special episode of Awaken to Joy Celebration Meditations invites you into a sacred pause. Between this week's celebrations of Christmas and Hanukkah, and any other spiritual celebrations, light and love are celebrated in different ways—but the invitation is the same: to slow down, reflect, and soften into gratitude.

This special bonus episode of Awaken to Joy is part of a meditation series I recorded a few years ago—created not for a moment in time, but for moments like this. As the year draws to a close and the light of celebration fills the season, I wanted to offer this meditation as a gift of gratitude to you, my listeners.

These reflections are timeless by design—an invitation to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with peace, gratitude, and inner light. Whether you're celebrating, resting, or simply needing a pause, this meditation is my way of saying thank you for being here.

May it bring you calm, comfort, and gentle joy as one year ends and another begins.

✨ With deep gratitude,
✨ A moment of stillness, just for you
✨ A new beginning softly forming.

This is episode 1,3002. Welcome to the final episode of this series on Embracing Joy. I hope you took the time for just a few minutes each day to notice the moments you've experienced

that brought you even a simple joy such as waking up with the sun streaming in your window or wearing a nice warm sweater on a cold

winter's day or sipping hot tea or coffee in the morning to help you start your day.

0:57.4

These small pleasures add up to lifelong joy.

1:05.2

Pretty soon you start to notice joy automatically without having to take a moment to think about it.

1:15.6

You start to look for it because you create neural pathways in your brain to do this.

1:25.0

In today's final episode, I always share a way for you to connect with nature,

1:34.4

to take your meditation ritual off your cushion into your everyday life. Now, I know you can't

1:43.6

always get out there and walk in a walking meditation.

1:48.6

And in that case, what I encourage you to do is to meditate seated in your regular space,

1:57.0

but open a window or door to let the outdoors in, or better yet, go outside and meditate.

2:07.1

This is a way for you to feel connected with your environment. It's easy to take your meditation ritual a little seriously because it's

2:21.7

such an introspective practice when you meditate. So the more you can get a better perspective

2:30.0

on life in general, life around you, not just your space where you're meditating, but the world

2:38.9

around you as you bring in the meditation techniques you've been exploring all week. This is

2:46.1

a beautiful way to help you stay consistent in your ritual and to make it more dynamic and

2:52.9

exciting. This will keep you coming back for more. And also in the final episode, I like for you

3:03.8

to review your week to see what was working well and where you still may need to focus

3:11.8

to keep yourself on track with this joy series. So with that, you may be seated in your

3:22.7

regular meditation space, and that is perfect.

3:26.3

Open a window or a door.
