Summary

If you're a people pleaser, listen to this episode. We are stepping into a new era where we are saying no to other people so we can say yes to ourselves. Here are a few things that I am going to be doing less of for my own good.

  1. Not taking on more than you can handle
  2. Not being contactable 24/7
  3. Staying away from people who make you feel bad
  4. No longer being negative or mean
  5. No longer allowing disrespect
  6. No longer being mean to yourself
  7. Saying no to others to say yes to yourself

I hope I sound a little better than I did last week.

I was so sick.

0:16.6

It started out like as a sore throat and then turned into the worst cough ever. And I'm convinced

0:22.4

that I had bronchitis or have bronchitis. Honestly, I have no idea though because I don't really

0:27.5

know what bronchitis is. But it was honestly really hard to record last week's episode just because

0:32.9

I felt like ass and I had to keep stopping to cough and like to breathe.

0:38.0

But I definitely feel better now and I'm excited to get back into recording and talking with you guys.

0:47.3

I was sick for almost two weeks and during that time I felt so guilty about it.

0:54.5

And I was so mad because obviously when you're sick, you have to take some time to get better.

0:58.9

And through doing that, I felt like I was letting people down.

1:03.4

Like, I always say that you need to rest to be able to be on top of your shit.

1:08.0

So I did do that.

1:10.1

Like, I let myself rest. Obviously, I still had to do some

1:12.3

things like record the podcast because I have those commitments. But I had to cancel meetings. I had to

1:17.9

cancel plans. I didn't respond to emails right away. I had to ask for extensions for work.

1:25.1

And it was just really hard for me. And I felt guilty about it. But then I was like,

1:29.2

where is the same energy from everyone else? I feel like I'm normally waiting like three to five

1:35.2

business days for a response from an email and I'm waiting months to get paid and people cancel

1:41.0

on me all the time, which I'm not mad about at all, but I'm like,

1:44.7

why am I beating myself up over being human? Like everyone else does this and it's okay. So why
