author of Unsoft Child Murders and co-author of Unsolved Murders, True Crime Cases, Uncovered. The case of Shauna Ford is a bizarre and tragic tale which highlights the dangers of militia groups.

She first began making headlines in 2009, when she claimed to have been targeted for a series

of violent incidents in Everett, Washington.

According to Ford, she was the victim of Mexican Drug Cartel retribution for her Minutemen activism.

The Minuteman Project began in 2004, allegedly in a response to the wave of people crossing the U.S. border from Mexico.

They were an anti-immigration movement insisting that undocumented residents were responsible for increasing crime.

However, in 2012, Ford committed a crime under the guise of the Minuteman, which completely overshadowed any of their earlier actions. It was

in April of 2006 when Ford became known in the anti-immigration circles.

Ford later said that she had become involved in such circles after one day

she phoned her bank and was told to press one for English.

Quote, it insulted me. It's like how much more do we need to give up.

I have travelled all over the world. I don't know where else people have to press one for their native tongue."

End quote, she said.

Ford had been pushing a statewide initiative aimed at cutting off benefits to undocumented immigrants.

I don't know why it's a problem.

If you're not a legal citizen, you should not be getting the benefits, end quote.

Ford told the Daily Herald.

She also launched a company name Take Back America which sold

t-shirts with slogans such as Just Say No to illegal immigration and

immigration is not a race issue, it is a criminal issue.

The initiative didn't receive enough signatures to get their measure on the November ballad.
