The logical fallacies can be bunched into a few headings. There are quite a few of them, and this episode isn't exhaustive, but we hit the biggies. In this episode, we focus primarily on the fallacies of distraction.

And today we will be talking about the logical fallacies, which are basically problems in logic.

If you are arguing or you're trying to put together yeah if you're

basically if you're arguing or trying to convince anyone of anything these are the things that

are problems it's when you're screwing up it's when you are interacting with human

beings well sometimes it's you're not arguing for anything you're just sort of

hanging out um so these are yeah these are ways of thinking that you can easily fall into that seem

plausible or they seem like ways to build an argument. But in the end, it's, they're wrong.

They are, they're, there are fallacies. They're ways of constructing an argument that may convince

people, but they aren't actually valid.

And unfortunately, you can use your skills for evil.

So we will be teaching logical fallacies today, and you can go and you can use those

skills for the greater evil.

But you should not, dear listener, you should be doing it for the greater good.

You should identify them when someone is using them to abuse the populace and be a hero of logic.

And so we teach our students this because they have a thesis that they have to do.

They have a thesis that they have to do at the end of high school, and then they have to do a 20-minute question and answer period.
