This is one of the most important shows that we produce ahead of fantasy football season.

We sat down this weekend, watched all 16 freaking preseason games so you don't have to you could be with

your loved ones we're talking about the players the performances the usage the snap counts

who played who didn't how well they did and hayden this show is all about the backfields

the split works between all the running backs yeah we actually watched the games there's a lot of

other people that are just uh refreshing pf and just copy paste what they're putting out. We actually have some context of like why they were playing. How did they look? Like why like how is it different than how they were used in college and stuff. So we're going to get like really deep into the details. But I think if I was drafting throughout all of Vespalmania, if there was a day where I'd say now is the time to go crazy with your drafts, today would be that we got a lot of news to react to. And look, we might under react. We might overreact or we could find that Goldilocks zone to perfectly react to exactly what we saw this weekend because look, we track all the training camp notes from the great beat writers out there,

the national insiders on top of it. But then finally, once we roll around to somewhat legitimate

game action, NFL teams have to be honest with who they put in the field, who they don't,

and in what order. So we are going to read into that 100%. And I do want to shout out Nathan Yankee

of PFF, Duane McFarland of Fantasy Life as well.

These guys do a great job on their usage reports and I'm sure we'll link them in the description down

below. Okay, we're going to start off with some veteran split backfields, then work our way into

rookies and then close out with a bunch of rapid fire points and notes that you and I had.

So let's kick things off with the New York Jets backfield because we know that

Breesall has been a constant in round three in all of draft season,

even in the late parts of round two in your home leagues.

He was drafted as such because we had seen him be a feature back previously.

In this game, in 10 Justin Field snaps, Brees Hall played five, Isaiah Davis played three, Braylon Allen played two. What do you think of the usage, the changes, and how each one played? Bad news for Brees Hall, definitely. This team is not going to be very good this year, so he needs as many snaps as he can possibly get. He draws the start, gets a couple carries to start it off.

But on the third and five, in comes Isaiah Davis, who is not even the RB2 out there. He was actually playing, and he actually had one of the awesome reps of the entire preseason, faking like he's going to get a pass, which allowed Justin Fields to score a touchdown. So Isaiah Davis was playing third in longish situations. and then Braylin Allen was subbing in on early downs just like what we did with Brise Hall in the first couple snaps here. So for right now, three back committee. We'll see if that holds up long term. Also wanted to note that Bruce Hall mentioned that he's not in contract negotiations with the New York Jets. It's the same year that Kyron Williams, he just got his deal there, same draft class. James Cook is holding out because he's trying to get a new contract. Breeze Hall has been as productive as those guys have been at times. He's on contract negotiations. That does put my little fingers up of like, could we potentially get a trade down the line here? I doubt it, but at least that's kind of in the realm of possibility after looking at this

preseason usage.
