Summary

Kacie Main shares her thoughts on leaning into it. Episode 1278: Lean Into It by Kacie Main on Getting Out of Your Comfort Zone & Embracing Life Kacie Main's affinity for writing started as a child, writing arguably overly emotional letters to family, friends, and boyfriends, and even an anonymous poem to a widowed neighbor. The first paper she wrote in college was nominated for a first-year writing award yet she still didn't think to pursue writing as a career. She spent years successfully wandering through jobs but always trying to figure out "what I want to be when I grow up." As her career path zigged and zagged, writing was always there, lurking in the background patiently waiting it's turn. Then at 32 years old, the patience ran out. She didn't sit down to write her book, it jumped out of her at perhaps the worst, best, most confusing, and most liberating time of her life.
