The biggest lesson for me was really the concept of having a financial goal.

You know, to me, I never knew what I was earning money for other than covering my month-by-month expenses.

I didn't know what I should be doing with it. I didn't have a financial

goal, so I didn't really know how to set about accomplishing it. What I realized is this concept of financial independence,

this idea of building up passive income sources and that when my passive income

sources exceed my cost of living I'm financially independent I from that point on would

have no financial stress or much less financial stress because I know each month

that money is coming in whether I'm capable of working for it that month or I'm not.
