Summary

It’s no secret that education has taken a hit these past 2 and a half years. It seems things have changed so much in this tiny span of time and we want to share what it is really like to be a teacher. Teachers are leaving the profession in droves, others are looking for different positions in education and some have no other alternative but to stay and push forward. Why? Why is this happening?  We are going to  share our honest thoughts on teaching. Ultimately, we want to discuss how we can make changes in order to help keep teachers in the profession. Mary Ellen says, currently my TSA is balancing my work and home life. I have recently started a second

job at my school, but because of that, I start working as soon as the students leave. This takes

away time to get stuff done in my room before I go home. Also, now when I get home, I am exhausted after a 12-hour workday.
