God makes promises. He gives himself on every good gift to us with a word, a pledge.

That's a promise. And faith is born of these promises.

Hope comes alive. We live in joy and peace in the confidence that God cannot lie. So his word of

promise is our life. Pastor Brian Wolfmiller talking about his presentation at the

2024 issues, etc. making the case conference.

Commenting on the faith that sustained Jacob in exile, Luther says, we are

absolved from our sins, we have the word which is founded and stands firm on the promises of God.

So we walk by faith and not by sight knowing that the God who makes promises has given those

promises to us.

It's not easy to sing. The poetry is remarkable. The poetry is

sometimes difficult and some of the lines when you're singing it you run out of air.
