| 0:00.0 | Welcome back to Katha Gansom's Live. |
| 0:16.7 | Tim Staples, our guest has promised, and I really do want to hold the phones for non-Christians |
| 0:23.0 | because why aren't you Christian is our topic this hour and Tim's the guy to do this with. |
| 0:29.6 | Tim has... |
| 0:30.6 | Does that mean I can talk about Jesus? |
| 0:33.6 | Yeah, like we could just write down to talking about Jesus. |
| 0:36.6 | So look if you're not a Christian, if you, if maybe you were, but you, have you heard of this thing called deconstructing? |
| 0:44.4 | This is what they call it on the internet. |
| 0:45.7 | Yes, I have heard. |
| 0:47.0 | It's not like, it's not egg rolls. |
| 0:49.6 | That's something else. |
| 0:51.0 | Deconstructed egg rolls is something different. |
| 0:53.4 | I haven't had the deconstructed. You have. You have. Fancy places. No, they don't have that at Burger King. Oh, my wife and my daughter Rose, she does them amazing. Oh, she cooked them? Yes. She's good at it. All right. Looking Tim and I was. Oh, we're discussing food now. |
| 1:11.7 | Well, forget the show. Let's just talk about food. Look, if you're not a Christian, we'd love it if you call. Maybe you're an atheist. Maybe you're agnostic. Maybe you're just a secularist who's like, why would I even do that? That's perfectly a fine reason to call. To call up and go, why would I ever be a Christian? Like, it doesn't make any sense. But also, you might be a person who went through what they call, what the kids these days call, deconstructing where you go. Yeah. I lost my faith, basically. It's a process of losing your faith bit by bit. Whatever it is, whatever your reason for not being Christian, if you're not a Christian, give us a call. |
| 1:52.1 | We'd love to talk with you. 8883187-884, triple-8-384. Now, Tim, people know that you were a Christian minister outside of the Catholic Church who came into the Catholic Church. |
| 2:01.6 | Amen, brother. |
| 2:02.6 | But do you have experience with, say, try an atheism on or trying just being a nothing? |
| 2:09.6 | I just, I tell you, those are my favorite people to talk to. |
| 2:13.6 | And I find, for the most part, then, now, of course, it doesn't matter who you're talking about what religion. |
| 2:20.3 | You have some folks who just aren't open. |
| 2:22.3 | And if that's the case, if somebody is not open to talk, well, then there's nothing really you can do. |
| 2:28.3 | But I find atheists, generally speaking, the ones that I talk to and have interacted with over the years to be some of the more open people. |
