I might have been under the influence. I don't know. I'm not going to say or confirm it to die, but it was a depressing Sunday. And we're glad that you're back with us here on the Go Birds pod number 122.

John Barchard, L.H. Shore Parks, who is drinking a cold brew pumpkin something or other. Yeah, I just... I honestly feel bad for people that won't just allow themselves to like pumpkin spice.

I think now I'd be... I like pumpkin, but I don't like that. It's delicious. It's way better than what would you say it was black... Black coffee. Yes, it was just enjoyable. No, it's not.

Irish cream is more enjoyable than that. If you want to talk about flavors, I'd rather have Irish cream in the other. This is way better than whatever that is.

What we thought was going to be kind of a whole home kind of a week has been ignited a little bit here by Doug Peterson.

Yeah, well first let me let me start with this. So I'm what I leave the stadium on Sunday from Minnesota. And as everyone does once a game and I put on the Go Birds pod, I'm listening.

Yeah, I text in the group like man, you were you were in a bad mood. I'll hear from you for a few hours. I was worried. Like you sounded sad on that part.

I was just like I left James's house and I was just like, yep, I don't I was like man, I I don't even feel like watching football and I came home and I looked lady bartered in the eye and I said, I'm going to go to bed. And I went to bed at like six o'clock. That's actually my brother's fault because he kind of kept us up the night before.

Who would have ever thought losing a bet to me would just send you into a suicidal depression. I don't mind paying that bet off. That's fine. What I will say is Jack Brown is still right still the weakest part of their offense. He just need to continue the sentence and say, but because our secondary sucks so much ass. It doesn't matter. And no amount of pressures, which by the way the Eagles are still top five and will not matter because if you're running wide open, then it becomes very silly because a very silly game.

The weakest part of the Vikings off into their offensive line. It's not Kirk cousins as we I mean sure, but yeah, as we saw. Kirk cousins is perfectly capable of beating you if you don't get good pressure on him, right? Like that. No, if you leave Stefan digs and Adam Thielin white open and blow coverages. Yes, you're going to lose. Well, he made a lot of really good place, but we don't we don't have to talk about it. I'm not trying to fight that off either. I just Kirk cousins is not changed. You know, it's going to be up and down. It's usually up against the fucking birds. And here we are. Yeah. Yeah.

That's what I tried to tell you and I'm into it, man. Like it was rough. And I'll say like being in the stadium, it just it never felt like they had a chance in that game. Once it started. I mean, they fall behind quickly. The offense once again is terrible to start. It and my biggest takeaway from your your post game pod was, I'm actually not as down on the team as you are. And I think that's just because our expectations are very different. Like when I landed when I landed on the plane from Minnesota and I put on WIP and I'm listening to some of the reactions. Like people are.

Really upset about this team, but this team is is what I've always said they are there. They're an average team that finds ways to beat themselves like don't go and they'll beat the Cowboys on Sunday. I think that's my pick as of now.

And then they'll find a way to lose to the Giants later this season. Like that's just who they are. I mean, they're in a 500 football funk. They've I think eight and nine and Carson and dogs last 17 games.

You know, they're always behind a halftime. This is just who they are at this point. Like until I can see them string together three or four consecutive wins.

It's just it's hard for me to take this team seriously as an actual Super Bowl contender. Yeah, and I don't feel as bad as I did on on Sunday. Even then, I knew like I know the season's not over.

And that that was it was more or less my realization that you know for everything that we argued about in the offseason. There were still a lot of things we agreed on, but like

to think that this entire secondary would there'd be nobody there. I think it's my biggest miss from this whole thing.

And where my expectations were certainly plays into that and plays in for a lot of people because I don't think we wanted to believe in the funny thing is Carson's not the problem.

You know, there was that lead up to this offseason where it was like, is he going to stay healthy and like listen, there's still a lot of season left. That's a possibility there too. But
