A truly shocking story has just hit the news.

Authorities believe this husband and father of three faked his own death so he could

abandon his family and flee to Eastern Europe to link up with his online girlfriend from Uzbekistan.

It's truly nuts. Let's start at the beginning. On the morning of August 12th, this past summer, a husband and father, Ryan Borgwart, 45, disappeared.

He had set out for a solo kayaking trip on Green Lake in Wisconsin.

Ryan had supposedly texted his wife on the night of August 11th,

telling her that he was turning his kayak around and heading

to shore soon. But that was the last time she ever heard from him. Ryan lived in Watertown,

Wisconsin with his wife and three children and was an avid, experienced kayaker. So police get the call,

officials get to the lake, where they find Ryan's vehicle and

trailer. Then they make a grim discovery, finding his life jacket floating, his kayak overturned, in an area

where water runs more than 200 feet deep. They also find his fishing rod, his car keys, and other personal items at the scene.
