I'm not complaining. I love the heat. I love this weather, but I had to turn off the air conditioner because it was making a weird noise. And when I was recording it just picks it up no matter what. So I turned it off. So just know that I'm suffering. Don't say I never did anything for you. I'm sitting melting in this room for you right now.

I feel like Monday was so long ago. It was one of those weeks where it went by quick, but I feel like it just feels so distant. Like who was Monday? Who is Monday? We don't even know Monday. We barely remember her. I honestly am trying to remember what are we talking about. We talked about the Cult, the high priestess of blood, what the hell was going on there? The story with Magdalena Solis? That was just...

That took a turn. Just a scary story. Madison was over last night to record obituary. Always a good time, a weird time. I'm actually going to share a clip at the end of this little leader from an obituary episode. And I'm so excited for you guys to listen to it. It's just one of my favorite topics that we talked about. So after I read the last email, it's just going to start playing that clip just because if you get confused, that's what's happening. Listen, I have anxiety.

A lot of you probably have anxiety. I'm just trying to ease you into what is happening today. Are you with me? Things I'm watching?

A cult babe sent me a lifetime movie that is on Hulu right now. And it's called Mommy is a murderer. Did I tell you guys about this? Because I feel like I did.

Everything's a blur. Really worth a watch though. Unmurder related. I started the Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, which is on Amazon. I'm late to the game, I know. I'm only on episode three, but I'm loving it. Somewhere in my phone, for some reason, I was at a Marvelous Mrs. Maisel event a few years ago. And I have a picture of me on the stage. So I feel like I'll just have to bust that out once I'm there on the show.

And then I told you on Monday, I think that I started watching the show cruel summer that also is on Hulu. And it's so good. I just watched the third episode last night. And I feel like I know what's going to happen. I made Olivia start watching it too.

We were kind of talking about our theories. I feel like there's going to be a big twist or something. Something big has to happen in the next episode. Or I'm writing it off. I will not let this be Ryan Murphy.

But that's the house. That's the news. That's what I'm watching. Should we get into some emails? I think so. I think it's about that time.

This first email had the subject line. My sister brought me to a cult. If we want to get technical, you're now bringing your sister to a cult.

Full circle moment. Here we go. Hey, sister, I am a long time cult babe. And I've wanted to write to you for a while. Now here's my story.

I should preface this by saying I am an atheist. And when I was a freshman in high school, I was going through a heartbreak. And my sister thought the way to cheer me up would be to bring me to church with her.

And churches in quotes. So already suspicious. She didn't really know my religious feelings at the time. And she was just trying to give me a space to feel loved or accepted. A sweet gesture. But probably one of the creepiest experiences of my life.

We grew up in a small town in the Bible belt. So it wasn't outlandish for people to find comfort in church. And I was looking for some quality time with her. So I reluctantly agreed to go to a service.

The weird part was before I went. My dad warned me that her church wasn't something he was a fan of. And told me to call him if I ever felt uncomfortable so that he could come pick me up.

This was strange to me because my dad is a very accepting person and always taught us about multiple religions. So we would choose to believe whatever we wished. Love your dad.

It was different to see him close-minded about this. Still, she was very insistent that it would be a fun experience. So I went. When we got there, it was not a normal church building. It was an old strip mall that was mainly vacated in the, quote, church was in a big warehouse type section.

That threw me off a bit for sure, but they looked like they tried to paint and decorate some and I figured maybe they just had a hard time finding a space.

When I got inside, their pastor was a lot to take in. There was very few people there, so obviously he noticed I was new and immediately came up to speak to me.
