Your new book, Flyaway Paul, is coming out next month, is that right?

Yeah, the 19th of October.

And this year sort of didn't exist because it was all about Paul McCartney and writing that book.

And the time, it's sort of jumped from Christmas to now it

the months flew by the months and Paul flew by so this is Paul in the 70s primarily is it

this is the wings yeah it's the post-beetles era before he discovered really that he was aiming to be

a solo superstar and he took a lot of criticism during

that period didn't he because people were saying that wings were a construct they weren't a proper

band they were just a vehicle for him to be trying out his solo songs without the Beatles

I think a large part of it was Paul trying to prove to John that he was still someone
