All right guys today we've got a very special interview and it's an interview with

Matt Griner.

He is the drummer of my favorite metal core band out there and that is August Burns Red guys I talk about August Burns Red all the time pretty much every episode because again the intro outro music on this podcast is their song King of Soro which is off their latest record

and y'all hear me say that every time if you listen to the outro but the thing

about Matt Griner is he's my favorite metal drummer yes he's my favorite drummer on the planet.

Yes, I kind of win a little fan boy in the podcast,

but that's all right.

But the thing is, is they're about to release their ninth full-length studio album,

August Burns Red is.

And so this is a band that's been around for a very, very long time. This band kind of started in that underground Christian medal scene kind of in the solid state era. But their band came out of a small town in the middle of Amish country, Pennsylvania.

And now they're literally one of the biggest metal bands in the world.

And so whenever I reached out to Matt to do this podcast, obviously we want to talk about music.
