Summary
When you've done lots of diversity training, but something is still missing, it might be that people still aren't comfortable having honest conversations about race. In this episode, I talk with Glenn Singleton, creator of the Courageous Conversations About Race online course, and David Watkins, Director of Equity and Diversity for Broward County, Florida, where the course has already helped over 300 teachers get more comfortable having these conversations.

| 1:14.4 | get the feeling that hearts and minds are not fully present or it could be that |

| 1:28.5 | Broward County Public Schools in Florida the sixth largest school district in |
| 1:33.1 | the United States. Broward County encompasses 31 cities and serves nearly 300 |
| 1:38.9 | thousand students from widely diverse backgrounds representing nearly 200 |
| 1:44.0 | different languages and cultures. Although the leadership at Broward had |
| 1:48.2 | always made efforts to meet the needs of its diverse population they wanted to |
