Robert F. Kennedy Jr. joined forces with Donald Trump wanting to, as they put it, make America healthy again.

And now that the president-elect has officially picked the vaccine skeptic to be the Health and Human Services Secretary,

health experts are worried about

Platform really appeals to people in public health, focusing on things like chronic disease,

healthier foods, getting rid of conflicts

of interest in the government.

But what concerns them much more than any optimism they may feel about that is his rhetoric

on things like vaccines.

He has been tied to a major measles outbreak in Samoa in 2019, for example.

For vaccine skepticism, Public health experts say he spread

there that led to the death of 83 people, mostly small children. He has denied

discouraging vaccination there, but public health experts are worried that his rhetoric will

discourage people in the U.S. to get vaccinated and that we may see a rise of things like measles

and polio again here. Staying on the Trump transition, Elon Musk and Vivek Ramoswamy

will co-lead what's being called the Department of Government Efficiency. And their goal is to make

the federal government leaner and more efficient by reviewing its budget and operations from top to bottom

and cutting at least $2 trillion in federal spending. And while full details of how this would work

are unclear at this point, Musk and Ramoswamy have been very vocal about where they would look

first for cuts. They've said they want to close the Department of Education, cut up to 75% of the federal workforce,
