A new US jobs report came in hot this morning,

showing 254,000 jobs were added in September.

That's more than economists expected.

I asked CNN's Alicia Wallace to break That's

Stepping back a bit, so we had a really weak jobs report in July,

which got the anxiety spinning that maybe the labor market

wasn't as strong as we thought.

It was actually collapsing and would bring the economy down with it.

But in August, we had some solid job gains and today we have some

monster gains. Those concerns should be put to rest. Economists told me that

jobs market is strong enough to keep the broader U.S. economy on its

growth street. They also said that today's report should allow the Fed to stay the

course with its rate cuts, which in turn would alleviate price paying for American consumers.
