since I've become president. President Joe Biden annoyed and on the defensive during the press conference he called yesterday

to respond to the special counsel's report on his handling of classified documents.

Even though Robert Hur concluded criminal charges against the president weren't warranted,

the special counsel determined Biden had willfully retained highly sensitive information.

He also questioned Biden's memory and wrote that it was unlikely the president could be prosecuted because a jury would view the president as a sympathetic well-meaning elderly man.

Biden pushed back hard against that characterization in public, and in private, he was livid.

People familiar with Biden's comments said he cursed in fury and was especially angry over

a reference to his inability to remember when his son Bo died.

The president reportedly saying, quote, how would I effing forget that?

In this press conference, Biden also offered one of his strongest rebukes to date of Israel's military

operation in Gaza.

The conduct of the response in Gaza in the Gaza Strip has been over the top.

He was also optimistic about where negotiations stand

to secure the list of remaining hostages
