The Israeli military has rescued a father who was taken hostage by Hamas during the October 7th terror attacks.

Israeli commandos rescued Khaid for Han al-Kadi from an underground tunnel following accurate

intelligence. His medical condition is stable and he will

undergo examination in hospital. His family had been waiting 326 days to receive the news they did today.

CNN's Jeremy Diamond is in Tel Aviv and has more details about Khaid Farhan Al-Kadi.

He is a 52 year old father of... details about Kaidh Farhan Alkati.

He is a 52 year old father of 11 who has taken hostage

while he was working as a security guard at a factory

in Kibbutzma again.

He is a Bedwin man with Israeli citizenship over the last 10 and a half months.

He has endured captivity in Gaza.

I believe he's the eighth hostage to actually be rescued in an Israeli military operation and brought back to Israel alive.

Obviously very welcome news for his family and very happy news in this country,

although we should note that there are still over a hundred Israeli hostages still being held captive in the Gaza Strip.

At least 30 of those are believed to be dead, the fate of the others still uncertain.
