September 27th Tropical Storm Helene is triggering life-threatening floods

throughout the southeast.

Atlanta's mayor warned residents this morning to stay off the roads.

We're telling people to stay in the house, stay safe, and let us make sure that the emergency

vehicles can get what they need to get to.

Atlanta is one of multiple communities in the southeast under a flash flood emergency,

the most severe type of flood warning.

Helene hit Florida's big bend region as the strongest hurricane on record Thursday night.

Search and rescue efforts continue in areas impacted by significant storm surge, including the west coast.

Supercharged by climate change, Halene was one of the largest storms to hit the Gulf

coast in the last century, and it's been fatal in Florida and throughout the region. At least seven deaths

connected to the storm have been reported. A large number of UN delegates walked out

on Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu as he took to the podium to address the General Assembly this morning.

Jiers could be heard as he approached the stage, and Netanyahu quickly dashed hopes for a quick ceasefire with Hezbollah in a

defiant speech. Israel has no choice and Israel has every right to remove this

threat and return our citizens to their home safely and that's

exactly what we're doing.

Just a couple days ago senior U.S. officials announced they had reached a breakthrough

on a 21-day ceasefire, but the two sides continue trading

strikes.

Around 60,000 Israeli civilians have been forced from their homes by Hezbollah attacks. And Lebanon's health minister told CNN
