Investigators are searching for new leads in examining evidence in the manhunt for the gunman who killed Brian Thompson, the CEO of United Healthcare on Wednesday in New York.

CNN's Omar Jimenez has the latest for us.

Hey, Krista, so yeah, a third day where we don't know where the shooter is. We don't even know who the shooter is, but we are getting new clues even if they're slight.

A law enforcement official told CNN police believed the suspect arrived in New York 10 days before

the shooting, then went to a hostel on the upper west side of the city.

Then there's the image police release of an unmasked man who they're calling a person of interest,

who sources tell CNN, lowered his mask because he was flirting with the clerk.

And then, though, there's the question of where the shooter is.

Law enforcement tracked the shooter north of the shooting scene toward Central Park,

and then video we obtained showed what law enforcement believed to be the gunman

exiting Central Park about 30 blocks north

of the shooting. Meanwhile, the killing has unleashed a flurry of rage and frustration from social

media users about denials of their medical claims. And a Facebook post from the company

expressing sadness about Thompson's death got more than 62,000 reactions, with the vast majority of them

laughing emojis. According to the research group KFF, access to care due to claim denials
