It's Vice President Kamala Harris's week

with the Democratic National Convention

kicking off in Chicago today.

But it's President Joe Biden's night

where he'll deliver a prime time speech

to pass the torch to a younger

generation. White House Communications Director Ben LeBolt summed up what Biden

will touch on in his speech. Well look the president has focused his presidency

on defending democracy at home against the threat posed by Donald Trump who wants to be a dictator on day one.

And he's going to call on Americans tonight to defend democracy one more time in November by voting for his

close governing partner, Vice President Harris and Governor Wall's. He's also going to

take the country through the journey of the past four years.

First Lady Jill Biden and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton are slated to speak tonight as well.

Outside the Convention Hall in Chicago, security is tight ahead of a massive protest expected later today against Israel's war in Gaza,

in a city with the largest Palestinian population in the U.S.

So inflation is gradually easing, but the cost of living remains high for many Americans.

And both 2024 candidates have proposed plans to address these issues.

But some economists warn that Harris and former President Donald Trump's approaches might actually cause prices to go higher.
