President Donald Trump's mega bill is a step closer to a full House vote. The House Rules Committee narrowly passed it by seven votes to six, and that was after meeting for almost 12 hours.

The Senate passed President Trump's so-called Big Beautiful bill yesterday, But their version differs in key ways from what the House passed in May.

And both chambers will ultimately have to pass the same version to send the package to

Trump's desk.

Two conservative congressmen, Ralph Norman and Chip Roy, harshly criticized the Senate's

version of the package and joined Democrats on the panel to oppose it.
