Today, in real life, allegations like this are taken a lot more seriously.

At Woolwich Crown Court, the trial of a former British soldier is underway.

He's facing allegations that in September last year, he used bed sheets to strap himself to the underside of a food truck to break out of HMP

Wandsworth.

For three days, Daniel Khalif was on the run and on the front page of every newspaper.

He was finally arrested as he rode a bike on a canal towpath in West London.

He's also charged with exploiting his position in the British Army to pass intelligence to what's been called an enemy state, specifically Iran.

He denies all the charges against him.
