Yesterday was simultaneously the most predictable day in American politics as well as the strangest day in American culture.

The juxtaposition of those two extremes, comes to you in part by the US Senate doing

exactly what we discussed yesterday on the podcast.

Yesterday, the US Senate yesterday the blocking the strike, the railroad workers strike that was scheduled to begin on December 9th.

They blocked it with the first piece of legislation and then they declined.

They did not pass the second piece of legislation that was passed to them by the House

that would give them seven paid sick leave days.

And to be quite honest, the news of Kagni West

having his full-blown Nazi meltdown on Infowars,

which is the correct place to do that type of thing because of what Alex Jones actually

is, himself a fascist.

Unfortunately, the news of Kanye West kind of dwarfed what the Senate did, what quite honestly this administration did.

I know a lot of people are trying to make this the fault of Republicans. But the truth is the efficiency with which they moved

in lockstep from Tuesday at the roundtable where Joe Biden said something has to be done.

He said it's unfortunate but something has to be done.

Sitting there with Kevin McCarthy sitting there with Mitch McConnell sitting there with Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer. with me Paul I had to pause. I was going to report on this on Wednesday. I was going to do a podcast on

Wednesday, but I said let me pause for a minute. Because to be honest with you, seven days seems to be a

decent enough negotiation.
