evangelicals around here i'm from new england we were raised catholic it's a lot of evangelicals around here. I'm from New England. We were

raised Catholic. It's a little bit of a different lifestyle. Tell me about your podcast, the new

evangelicals. You call it a Jesus-centered community. Yeah, so I grew up on the East Coast,

New Jersey. It's where I live now, just so we have context here. And I grew up in a very conservative Christian environment. I was homeschooled for most of my life. I went to a small private school where I graduated top five in my class out of six. So props to me for doing that. And I grew up really in that bubble, but I also, as many people who in your audience who might be able to relate to, I made a profession of faith very early that I was going

to be a Jesus follower for the rest of my life. And to this day, that's what I'm trying to do,

including when that led me away from the current expression of conservative Christianity

that I found myself in for so long. So the podcast actually

is much bigger. The New Evangelicals is actually a nonprofit organization, and we're a digital

first space. So we have a digital community of about 10,000 people in a Facebook group. We do

podcasting. We do YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, all kinds of content, really helping people do three

things. We hold space for folks who have been hurt or marginalized by the evangelical church.

We advocate for accountability inside of the church, especially when they go bonkers and do

abusive things. And we help people explore a better path forward in their faith that is kind of

away from this fundamentalist view of Christianity, because it might shock a lot of people to know,
