Hello and welcome to the Wednesday December 6th, 2017 edition of Tesla Daily Unofficial Tesla Podcast. My name is Rob Mower. Today we have another

guest on the show. Steve joins us. He is an investor in Tesla and also happens to work in

the trucking industry. After the unveiling event I thought it would be really

interesting to talk to Steve and get his perspective on the Tesla semi and how disruptive he sees it being,

knowing that he is kind of in the unique position of having a lot of understanding of Tesla, but also working in the industry that Tesla is competing with with this new product.

So before we get into the interview, just a huge thank you to Steve for taking the time to do this.

You certainly did not need to, but I really appreciate you taking the time to share this information and share your

informed perspective with us.

Welcome Steve, you want to give us a little bit more background on what you do?

Sure, sure, thank you Rob. Thanks for having me, Han. So I've been working in the industry a little

over 10 years now and I spend the majority at the time working directly on engine development and testing.

And so specifically the engines that go into the semi trucks you see on the roads.

And now I've actually worked directly for one of the major truck OEMs here in the States.

So that's that's my experience so I can I can speak pretty well regarding the power train the rest as far as the rest of the truck goes

I'm not I wouldn't say I'm an expert at it yet and obviously this is this is one guy's opinion right there is right there's a lot of different opinions out there on Tesla but I'm I'm definitely bullish on it and it's kind of kind of ironic that

working in that industry is when I discovered Tesla I can I've known them since the road today's but I didn't actually start

investing in them until 2012 albeit it was relatively small portion compared to what I have today.

But now, let me just say, given the response,

I guess my impression of the semi, I'm hedging, let's say, for my employment as a, with more Tesla's stock.

So that's my feeling on Tesla currently. Okay. So relatively

positive reception from you from the Tesla selling? For me, very positive.

And I was fortunate to also be able to see it in person.
