I enlisted in the U.S. Army on my 18th birthday.

Both my father and grandfather had the honor of embarking on a military career, and had

both seen combat in the golf and Vietnam respectively.

Unlike my dad, whose war had lasted little more than 100 hours, my grandfather had done
