Welcome to this week's mini-sode of Rotten Mango.

I'm your host Stephanie Sue, and we're just going to jump right in.

Is this seat empty? She asked. The group of high school kids, they just kind of stared at her.

I mean, you know how high schoolers are. Some of them pretended they couldn't even hear her,

that she didn't exist, that nobody had even just asked them about the empty seat.

Half of them started gathering up their stuff, calmly leaving the table.

The others, that remained at the table, they grabbed their plate of food and just scooted all the way down to the edge,

so that when she sits down, she was alone, and it was clear that nobody wanted to be her friend.

So if you're new to this school and you see this, you might ask, well why?

What did she do? Why are you guys bullying her?

The kids would tell you, oh, that's the Gitchie girl.
