Welcome back to the quote of the day show. I'm your host Sean Crox and a

Sean Croxon.com. Today I've got a flashback Friday episode with Mr. Earl

Nightingale. And this one stands out to me because Earl is actually reading the

final chapter of one of my favorite books of all time. It's called As A Man

Think It By James Allen. And the chapter is entitled Serenity. And Bob

Proctor likes to give people assignment. So one of his assignments is to take

this Serenity chapter and for 90 days every day to write that chapter out by

hand. It's a fairly short chapter. It's about three pages. Take you about 20

minutes or so to write out. And for what I understand and I need to do this

myself is that by the time you're done with those 90 days of writing you will

have become a more calm, poised, collected, serene version of yourself. So I hope

Serenity.

Calmness of mind is one of the beautiful jewels of wisdom. It is the result of

long and patient effort in self control. Its presence is an indication of

ripe and experienced and of a more than ordinary knowledge of the laws and

operations of thought. A man becomes calm in the measure that he understands

himself as a thought evolved being. For such knowledge necessitates the

understanding of others as the result of thought. And as he develops a right

understanding and sees more and more clearly the internal relations of things by
