Matt today, we're going to hang out in a Psalm and you know we don't normally do Psalms where we're typically in the Old Testament or the New Testament as far as like covering some other stories but yeah we're going to hang out in Psalm 23 this is a extremely popular song some might say that it's the most popular Psalm.

David was born into no special circumstances.

Commoner.

He was a commoner.

He was a worker.

He had a slew of family, a bunch of brothers.

He was anointed as king.

The prophet Samuel came out to him and he looked through all the brothers and he knew that it was someone in this family and it wasn't the strongest brother, it was the tallest brother, most handsome brother, it was this youngest little thing.

And eventually, God put him in a place to where he had a foot inside the kingdom of Israel

and that he would play the harp for King Saul when he was disturbed.
