Summary

NEW SERIES TIME! In the first episode of our Cryptic series, we have a story so perplexing, Sherlock Holmes himself couldn't have cracked it. Or, could he? Was it actually set up to BE a Sherlock Holmes Story?

Richard Lancelyn Green was the fan of all Sherlock and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle fans. He was working on writing the most extensive biography on the author, when he was found dead in his home. Initially, it was ruled a suicide, but the closer they looked... it may not have been elementary, my dear Watson.

0:29.8

Yes.

0:30.3

So as you have heard us say, this series is dealing with those mysterious cases where there's really not a good answer for.

0:38.9

They're highly debated.

0:41.0

Think of the Blair Adams story we did or Diot Love Pass, that type of thing.

0:48.3

And we do have a name for this series.

0:52.2

Yes, this is going to be the cryptic series.

0:55.9

We debated for a very, very long time over this.

1:00.8

I think it was about two weeks.

1:03.3

We just did a coin flip literally 25 seconds ago.

1:07.6

Right before we hit record.

1:09.0

Well, somebody had suggested in the group cryptic cases,

1:13.0

and we were like, oh, we like that, but I don't think we need the word cases, because of course

1:17.3

they're cases. So we were like, what about just cryptic? Then it evolved into cryptex,

1:23.8

cryptex from the Da Vinci Code, and it went off the rails and we brought it back and

1:29.8

so this is going to be cryptic by corpus delicti.

1:35.8

How do I follow that? I have no idea.

1:40.5

Well, tonight we have an amazing case for you. Lindsay really outdid herself in researching this one.

1:47.0

I have to admit, I am a huge Sherlock fan.

1:51.0

Sherlock has been probably by far one of my most favorite stories, probably rewritten.
