Bethany Hamilton was a rising surf star when at age 13, she lost her left arm to a tiger shark. One month later, she returned to surfing and within two years, she won her first national surfing title. This woman is rewriting the rules on what it means to be a fearless athlete. I'm Jennifer and I'm just here to help you be and do more than you feel capable of as you live this I can life of Philippians 413. And by the way, let me just remind you that is not a sugar pill or a magic Christian superpower.

That is simply saying that whatever God has called you to do and who he has created you to be will be accomplished in you and through you through his power.

It is his power in you that allows you to do what he's called you to do. So you go for it, my friends. And that was Casey, my seeing eye guy. And we are just super glad that y'all are with us today.

But I know part of the reason you're glad to be here is the same reason we are. And that is Bethany Hamilton. Wow.

I'm telling you she's one of a kind. She truly is. In 2017, she was inducted into the Surfer Hall of Fame. And so you may have seen her new documentary. Well, it's been out a few months obviously, but it's called unstoppable.

And it follows her story from childhood to motherhood. And it is great. I watched it on Netflix. I use descriptive audio. And so it was just fantastic. Did you see it?

Ali and I watch the movie. And I'm telling you she is God's girl. I'm telling you. I'm still pinching myself that we get to talk to her. I know.

Because you have to watch. You have to watch her movie and learn more about her. And you're about to hear her heart.

Oh, yeah, you are. And she's super honest. That's what I love about her. She's super honest. I mean, if you watch the documentary when you watch it, the documentary unstoppable.

Like one minute, this woman is chasing waves. And then the very next minute she's on the beach chasing toddlers. So we just need to get to it. Yes.

I can't wait for you to hear her heart. Bethany Hamilton is one of the leading professional surfers of all time. In 2016, she beat a six time world champion. And the top ranks surfer in the world at a major world surf league competition. And in 2017,

she was inducted into the surfer's hall of fame. Her courageous return to surfing led to her receiving the MTV Teen Choice Award for courage and ESPN's best comeback athlete.

She's the author of several books, including Soul Surfer, which was the inspiration for the 2011 feature film of the same name. And in 2019, her documentary film Unstoppable was released in theaters nationwide.

She lives in Hawaii, rough life. And her, her husband, Adam loves her. And there are two little boys. This woman is the perfect picture of what it means to live the I can't lie. I mean, I'm telling you. Perfect. Perfect. So get comfy, pull up a chair. Here's Bethany and Jennifer.
