| 0:00.0 | Welcome to the Mary's Cup of Tea podcast. I'm your host, Mary Jilkovsky. I'm an author, |
| 0:07.7 | speaker, and all-around self-love advocate. And this is the podcast that will inspire you to love yourself. |
| 0:17.1 | Hey, self-lovers, it's currently 8.24 p.m. as I'm recording this, the latest I've ever recorded a podcast episode, because I'm just feeling really inspired. I took the day off from work, but I guess not the night, because boyfriend just got home from an international trip. However, |
| 0:39.0 | he's pretty jet lagged, so he fell asleep at like 5 p.m. And I've just been like writing and |
| 0:46.6 | thinking about things and, you know, just envisioning, creating some ideas. And I've been landing |
| 0:53.4 | on this one idea that I've been meaning |
| 0:55.5 | to share with you for a while. I just was waiting to find better words to articulate it. |
| 1:03.0 | But basically the past couple of months, I've shared a little bit about how I've been going through |

| 1:31.4 | but in conversations and in my therapy sessions, is this concept that I've named. I don't |
| 1:40.4 | think this is like an official term or anything like that, but it's just something that I've |
| 1:45.9 | coined as learning the difference. And here's what I mean by that. I think you're going to find a lot of |
| 1:53.8 | solace in this concept. Once you really like think about how many scenarios and how many things it can apply to. |
| 2:02.8 | So of course life is always about learning, right? And learning isn't just about acquiring |
| 2:09.0 | knowledge. It's also about experimenting, making mistakes, recalibrating, setting boundaries, |
| 2:22.0 | epically failing, succeeding, maybe dabbling in some extremes, like doing some things you're not really proud of, or going a little too far, |
| 2:28.2 | pushing yourself a little too hard, only to then realize that like, hey, I don't really like |
| 2:33.6 | this. I am trying to like recalibrate myself |
| 2:37.0 | back to a happy medium. And I think this is just the flow of life. I think we're all, |
| 2:46.0 | always in a process of learning the difference. And I had this realization that so much mindset work |
