Hi everybody, it's Joe Lampel, the Joe Behind Joe Gardner, and welcome to the Joe Gardner

If you were to do an internet search of landscape plants, what's the one plant that

is Googled more than any other?

Well according to several sources, it's hydrangeas, and that doesn't surprise me and the least based

on the number of related questions we get coming in here.

And questions around hydrangea conundrums, too, are also some of the most search terms

and topics on the web when it comes to plants, such as why won't my hydrangea bloom?

How do I change the flower color?

And of course, how do I prune my hydrangeas?

To be sure, this is an incredible genus of plants, including my all time favorite, hydrangea

Corsifolia, the Oakleaf Hydrangea.

I love it for its four seasons of interest.

It's got huge oak-shaped leaves, it's incredible white flower panicles show off in the summer,

and they gradually fade to pink, and then the intense fall color of burgundy and red, plus

it's exfoliating bark and winter, not to mention its ease of growing here in the

southeastern United States.
