So once in a while, a brave guest will try to pronounce something wine related and they'll completely

mangle it.

Like the other day somebody ordered a bottle of chablis for me.

And of course you know it's chablee and you going at the bottle and you pointed out and

you say it right.

And at least for a year when I started working in restaurants my dad would tell all of his friends,

my daughter is a Somalia.

So we're all used to translating mispronounced words in this business, but there's a category of wine words that's more challenging

than the rest. Well, I took to the streets and I got non-wine people to give their best shot

at pronouncing some of Germany's most famous vineyards.

And now for the game.

This is good practice for taking orders on the floor.

How often do you drink wine?

As often as I can.

Have you ever drinking wine from Germany?

Mm, I don't know.

Well, there's amazing wines in Germany and they usually come from single vineyards with incredible names.

And I have a couple names here and I was wondering if you could read them off for me.
