What's your secret?

When I was an ultrasound tech at the hospital, we did a lot of different types of exams. People think ultrasound is just looking at babies but it's not.

We do a lot of different types of exams and you actually really have to concentrate hard to get all of your images and readings.

A lot of patients could be really annoying because all they would want to do is talk.

I had a little trick that I came up with if someone wouldn't stop talking. I would say,

okay, you need to take a deep breath and hold it. Okay, you can breathe.

And then if they continue to talk after that, I would say, okay, stop breathing.

Okay, now you can breathe. And after I send that a couple times and startle them, kind of have a few moments of peace to get my work done because they were waiting for me to tell them to stop breathing again.
