surprise announcement of a new small EV. It's going to be named the Insta in some markets, and no,

not Insta as in Instagram, or an Insta photo, but I-N-S-T-E-R, in Stur. I gather they can't call it the Casper in some markets because this car is

otherwise the petrol-powered Casper turned electric. Now, the Casper is a model exclusive to the

Korean market. It's a subcompact EV. Whatever subcompact means these days, it's kind of

sub-compact crossovery SUV SUVish. I don't know.

Think Datchez-ya Spring. It sits upright a little bit and I think would look good on the school run, I suppose.

A design to offer a range of 221 miles, that's 356 kilometres on a single charge.

It'll likely feature a pretty modesty-sized battery, actually a small car, but doing over 200 miles WLTP, European test cycle, of course.

That would be more than some of the small battery EVs that I've owned like the Renault Zoe, although the last Zoe owned had a 40-kil-watt-hour battery.

So I imagine it'll be around that size.

Hyundai design elements, some spherical LED, daytime running lights at the corners and the
