Hi, everybody. Before we get into my conversation with former energy secretary, Ernest Moniz,

who, among other things, was the chairman of the physics department at MIT, before he was energy secretary, of course.

And also as secretary, he negotiated the technical details of the Iranian nuclear deal.

And you may remember that during the campaign, and since Trump has referred to the people who negotiated that deal on the American side as stupid.

So a big goal of my conversation with former Secretary Moniz is to determine whether or not he is stupid.

And I'm not going to give it away, but he's pretty smart.

But there's one area, one area where he seemed not to be familiar with something,

and that is the concept of working for the man.

He didn't know who the man is. So pretty smart, pretty smart.

And before we get into that, I want to just say something about Trump's go home remarks to Ilhan

Omar, who is my congresswoman. You know, when Representative Omar went back

to Minneapolis this past weekend, she was greeted by this crowd yelling, welcome home, welcome

home. And Minneapolis is Ilhan Omar's home.

We know what was behind Trump's remarks.

It's a tactic he always goes to, which is racism.

We know that when he referred to shithole countries,

one of his categories was every country in Africa.

And Ilhan is the only one of the four women in the squad who was not born here in the United States. She was born in Somalia.

And now Minnesota is her home. And that is the story of America.

Trump's family came from Germany, which you'll remember that over a period of time in the 20th century was the shittiest shithole country in history.

And I just wanted to tell you about a small city, Wilmer, Minnesota, which is what I think America is about. Wilmer is a city of about 20,000. It's in Kanda,

Yohei County in south central Minnesota. Minnesota is the largest producer of turkeys in the country.
