It was the heaviest moment that I have dealt with as governor of the state of Texas

speaking to those victims' families and trying to summon what was needed to be said to try to warm their

hearts and to connect with them. But also, I've got to tell you, to see their resilience and their

resolve and their determination

to continue to connect with God in their unwavering faith.

That was the voice of Governor Greg Abbott of Texas, obviously an extraordinarily difficult

task to meet with the families of the victims, the bereaved, the wounded, devastating

news that came yesterday with the church massacre in Texas. And yet in the midst of it, friends,

faith and hope in the midst of horror and tragedy. This is Michael Brown, and thanks so much for joining us

on today's broadcast. You know, immediately after the news came of the shooting, people began to

politicize this, and people began to launch their own personal attacks. There were those that wanted to blame guns.

There were those that wanted to blame the Republicans. There were those that wanted to mock people of

faith. A lot of good your prayer did and things like that. And what I felt strongly was there's a time

to discuss many, many issues. There's a time to discuss guns or security in church.
