Summary

Over the years I've observed many people who have succeeded seemingly easily with an online business, and I've seen many who just can't seem to get going no matter what strategy or technique they deploy.  It's not your intelligence, your tools, your cash, your education or your determination that matters nearly as much as this ONE single factor that I reveal in this simple episode.  Deploy this strategy and you'll be unstoppable. Welcome back to Silent Sales Machine Radio.

It's your host, Jim, and I've got a short episode for you today with a super simple tip that I've shared before.

0:11.8

You guys have heard me mention this if you've listened to several episodes.

0:14.5

You've probably heard me mention this a couple times, but a very recent example of where some very simple advice works really, really well. It's one of these

0:25.7

foundational truths that now that I've been doing this 15 plus years and I look at the people

0:30.6

who are succeeding and the people who aren't, the people who seem to just have this fall into

0:35.2

their lap with success versus the people who struggle and

0:38.7

struggle and continue to struggle and don't figure it out. There's one thing that I've identified

0:44.8

that really kind of separates those people into two camps. So the successful people are doing

0:51.4

this thing and the people who aren't succeeding aren't doing this thing.

0:55.4

And it comes down to one simple word in its relationships, conversations, getting to know the people who can advance your business, be it other people who are doing the business with you or potential clients or just having conversations

with store managers. Let me jump in and give you an example. This was just posted. This is what

1:16.8

prompted me to do this podcast today in our Facebook group. There was a post just a couple hours

1:22.7

ago. Someone jumped in and said, hey, it's my first post in the group. Glad to be here. Just finished reading silent sales machine and tried one of the ideas that Jim said. He was out in a mall, is what the post says. He was in a mall and had a conversation with a store. It was either a store owner or manager. I don't have it in front of me right now and just said, hey, I know how to sell stuff online. Do you have anything that I might try to sell with you for you

1:49.2

and split the profits? Now, I can tell you this. If you have that conversation 10 times with 10

1:55.5

different store owners or managers, you're going to hear probably eight or nine knows or confused looks, or why would I

2:03.3

do that? Right? Eight or nine times, that's the response you're going to get. So just be ready

2:07.4

for it. That happens. But as it happens for this gentleman, his first conversation ever where he

2:13.2

decided to go try one of those strategies and talk to a store owner or a business owner and say,

2:17.7

hey, you got anything I could sell for you online? There's all kinds of people in our community

2:22.2

using this simple strategy. And notice the beauty of this strategy is you don't have to spend any

2:27.4

money on inventory. Use what's called a consignment model if you'd like where you don't buy the
