I'm Dave Anderson. It's time for our Friday.

Two-minute warning edition. Posted on Friday is to give you somebody to think about watch for or do to finish your week strong and maximize your weekend.

I will also include an occasional red zone rant, and yeah, uh-huh, you better believe it, baby. That happens today. I want to talk about the topic reverse, the decline of civility. The word civil means to be courteous and polite, and we're just

seeing a lot less of that in our culture today. I mean, think about it. So many folks got to start

to grow up. Because you belong to a certain political party or profession, you can't get served

in a restaurant anymore?

Haven't we moved past that 1960? Garbage! Or elected officials are encouraging citizens to harass fellow

citizens. Why? Why? What's the big offense? Because they don't believe the same way they do?

Is that really what taxpayers are paying these officials to provoke? I mean, come on, grow up.

That's not the game change your life.

That is a bitter, hateful, small world type of life.

Or people that have bumper stickers that say a certain thing or believe a certain way,

their cars are being spat on, had garbage dunt on them, and being keyed because people

don't agree with it. Really? That's the most mature

way you can express yourself and through spittle? What's next? Urination, vomit, defecation,

that wouldn't make you much better than a barnyard animal for goodness sakes. Maybe you need to

improve your vocabulary so you can engage in meaningful debate. Grow up. Hey, we become so soft, so bereft of intelligence,

so void of people skills, so bankrupt of character or compassion, that we have to not only dislike

someone we disagree with, but we need to insult them, wish them ill, and maybe even do them harm?

Are we there? Really? Grow up! Disagreeing with people doesn't mean you have to dislike them

or dismiss them or disrespect them or wish them ill. You make yourself miserable when you make
