Hello and welcome to episode 107 of the Diz Unplugged connecting with Walt Podcast.

I am your host and dis historian Michael Bowling, and I am joined by my co-host, producer, and good friend Craig Williams.

Craig, how are you today? I'm good. How are you, Michael?

I'm doing well. Thank you. So did you have a good Fourth of July? I had a very quick

Fourth of July. So even though I decided to celebrate the entire weekend, like I'm pretty sure you did,

it just felt like it came and went so fast. It just jam-packed.

But then again, I spent a lot of time on Wednesday and Thursday sitting out waiting for

fireworks at Walt Disney World. So that kind of chipped away at a lot of my weekend and and then i spent uh i spent a good amount of

i believe the friday so the day after fourth of july i spent a lot of that day pouting about

my experience trying to film the fireworks at magic kingdom on july third uh i was set up on the beach at at the Polynesian for about two and a half hours,

give or take. It was sprinkled at points in times, never had a downpour, but like just beyond

dangerous lightning, like very, very scary to the point that Rhino had to go inside because he

was so afraid he was

going to get struck. And because of the lightning, I believe that would be the cause, they didn't

have the electrical water page and barges come out. And those, they do play a role in the 4th of

July fireworks on the Polynesian Beach and such.

They light up in their patriotic colors, but they also project a lot of the audio for the fireworks.

So we basically watch 10 minutes of fireworks with no audio.

And while they're good, we all know that the reason why we love Disney fireworks is the blend

of music and the visuals.

So I've been very bitter about it for a while.
