I feel like I have one foot still in summer. I'm holding on to these warm days and a little more

light in the sky. We're still, you know, getting to the pool when we can and just

enjoying everything that summer has to offer. But on the other hand, I have this other foot in fall.

Elle starts second grade in a couple weeks. So we've been doing our back-to-school shopping. I learned

my lesson the hard way. The last two years. I decided to go to Target like the

weekend before school started and the shelves were stripped. It was kind of a nightmare. I felt like

I should be able to still get school supplies with a week to go, but I learned my lesson. So we've

gathered our school supplies. We have some new jeans for her long, growing legs.

I put all the dates for this year into my calendar. But it's kind of this moment of transition

where we're not fully in summer and we're not fully in fall. And this in between time,

this transition can be a beautiful thing. I'm very much leaning into it. But it's a time for me

without kind of our regular get up at the same time, go to the same place. And therefore,
