Summary

Daniella and Andrew get into the blow up that resulted in not releasing an episode last week. Daniella explains how her lack of attention to detail, while unideal at times, actually worked out for the best at a recent baby shower she attended. The couple adopt the HODL (Hold on For Dear Life) mentality when it comes navigating finances and family life, and Andrew expresses that he is still learning to live in the present. Also, Daniella is shook by the reality of the food industry after watching the recent documentary "They're Trying to Kill Us."Please support the show by checking out our sponsors!KiwiCo: Get 50% off your first month + Free shipping for any crate line at KiwiCo.com promo code ADULTING

Welcome back to Adolting Like A Mother Father. I'm Danielle Mone, the mother.

1:15.0

And I'm Andrew the father. And we're both adults. And if you're an adult or just trying to be one, this is the show for you. It's been a minute guys. We took last week off not on purpose.

1:29.0

Not on purpose. Well, after we thought about it for a while, then it was on purpose sort of kind of. I don't know. Long story short, we actually did record last week.

1:43.0

Be honest. But our SD card was full. And Danielle had the device and she wasn't monitoring it. And long story short, she recorded it for a long time. And then we didn't actually have space on the card.

1:59.0

So only a few minutes of it recorded. And then we, we'll argument killed each other almost killed each other.

2:08.0

And we needed a break at that point. So we stepped away. And then we decided not to do it for the rest of the week because we needed a break.

2:16.0

Kind of. And also like you guys, it is so freaking hard to find windows where we have the opportunity to do this.

2:23.0

I hate to even be that person, but it's true. It's like we do have help. We have name me here Monday through Thursday. But even so, you know, it's a lot for her to juggle two kids.

2:33.0

And we don't feel like we want to put that on her. So we use our nap windows usually to pod. And sometimes those nap windows don't hold up. And they're short. And yeah, we just.

2:46.0

It's I think parents know this every time you need to get something done. Yeah, something pops up. Yep.

2:52.0

True that. Yeah, literally pops up. Do you have a win in a fail? I do. I do. Sorry if you hear some clicking. That's that's our dirty clothes hamper that I'm leaning against.

3:07.0

I. We're still sitting in our studio, which is the floor of our closet. My. My. My. You know what? Here's the dad brain kicking in. I absolutely had a fail.

3:25.0

I'm going to start with the win. I actually have a couple wins. One is, you know, I've talked about mental health fair bid on this show and been pretty honest with my experiences and struggles that I have from time to time. And last few days, I'm sure you've noticed.

3:44.0

I think my energy just been a little off. I've just felt off. I felt a little low. And I can't pinpoint it. I feel like I'm doing all the same things that I normally do, like same sort of routine and whatnot.

3:58.0

But long story short, the win is that it. It's always a nice reminder to know that just because that's what you're feeling like that's that's not forever, you know, it's it's it's nice to be able to look at it as temporary because today is Monday.

4:14.0

And we're recording and for the first time in several days, I feel a new light like I just had a different outlook when I woke up this morning.

4:23.0

It's like 30 or 60 minutes, you know, when I was like basically dead for a while. Yeah, then finally up. Yeah, no, I don't know. I mean, just looking at the way that I was viewing recording the podcast together last week and how I was viewing it this morning or night and day.

4:41.0

Yeah. And so again, it's just nice. It's just nice to know that when you just when you just stick with it and you just push through those feelings, I'm sure we all experienced them usually come on the other side. So everything you're feeling what I'm trying to say is temporary.

4:56.0

So that's the win.
