Brian, walk our listeners through building what you would consider a perfect rest.

0:50.0

Talk, talk me through how you consider the rest to be perfect as far as using a backpack and what have you.

0:59.0

Okay, that's an interesting question.

1:01.0

I have a lot of guys that say they just like to shoot off a backpack and a backpack is not a bad rest but it's not as good as a pie-tod and here's why. So let's say we know there's Markopol a mile from here and we ride around the corner and we ride on this

1:16.9

Ridge and we come up to the saddle and we leave the horses and we got a crawl we get up on top and we can belly crawl an extra 50 to 100 yards if we're on our bellies versus on our feet or bending over.

1:54.7

I'm not weight conscious, I will use a 9 to 13 inch, Harris Bi-Pod. I think it's called the

1:59.8

Type S model, the kind that pivots. So if you're on a slope, you can level it. And I also put a lever

2:06.0

lock on it. So it comes a little neural knob that tightens the pivoting, but I tend to get a lever.

2:14.0

There are several companies that make them. It's a lever lock, so when you put the rifle in a proper

2:19.4

shooting position, you turn the knob and it locks the gun in on a so it's it locks it on a level

2:24.3

plane so now you don't can't a gun and I use my hand or either sometimes I use a
