Welcome back to the quote of the day show. I'm your host, Sean Crox and a

Sean Croxin.com. We got Matthew McConaughey on the show today. Let me tell you

this guy inspires the heck out of me. You know, it wasn't it wasn't that long ago

when Matthew McConaughey was like the romantic comedy, you know, always have a

shirt off and whatever movie he's in type of actor. And I heard him tell a story

the other day because he was promoting his new book Green Lights. And he talked

about how he made a decision. He thought to himself, I'm way more capable of

an actor than what I'm doing. He made a decision. No more romantic comedies. No

more. Taking my shirt off all the time. And he literally just sat for like a year

or two. Offers would come in like big offers like multi-million dollar offers

and it's age when be like, yo, here's an offer for you. Let's do it. He's like,

nope, I don't want to do that anymore. And he finally started getting the roles

that he really, really, really wanted. And I forget the name of the one where he

was at AIDS patient, but he was so phenomenal in that movie. And he won the Oscar.

And it's just been been fantastic for him ever since. And that's just like what

happens when you stay true to you when you decide like this is something I don't

want to do anymore. And I'm willing to put that aside so I can really do what I

want to do. And so he's going to share four of his 13 truths in life. Here's Matthew
